Syllabus for Assam Police Recruitment 204 Junior Assistant and Stenographer Posts.
State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam has recently published a recruitment advertisement for filling up 204 Junior Assistant & Stenographer pots of Assam Police. As stated in the advertisement 15 Nos. Junior Assistant Posts are for the Directorate of Assam Police Head Quarter and 170 Posts of Junior Assistant in District Cadre as well as 19 Posts of Stenographer are for District Cadre.
Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respect will called for a written test which will be conducted in District Headquarters/ Range(s) or any other convenient venue depending upon the number of candidates. The Candidates will have to appear for the Written Test in the venue mentioned his/her admit call letter. as stated in the advertisement the Chairman of the State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam reserve the right to change the name of the venue of the test as necessitated and no representation etc. will be entertained in this regard.

The Written Test will 50 Marks. This exam will be completely OMR Based.

Computer Base Spelling Test
Candidates will have to correct the spelling from a given paragraph. There will be 40 incorrect words in the paragraphs. Half (0.5) marks will awarded for correcting a word.
Computer Based Typeing Test
Candidtaes will have to type a given paragraphs containg 200 words. One tenth (0.1) marks for every correct word will be awarded.
Computer Based MCQ (Ralarted to Computer Knowledge)
there will be 20 questions for MCQ Test . Half (0.5) marks will be awarded for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking.
For the Posts of Stenographer an additional Test will be held of 50 Marks
Speed Test in shorthand at a Speed of 80 words per minutes 9Duration 5 Minutes) (400 Words) (Dictation)
Time to be given to the candidates for testing the computers

Marks for Dictation and its transcription
Candidates will have to transcribe the dictated paragraph of 400 words on Computer 0.123 marks every correct transcribed word will be awarded.
Based on the aggregate performance (mark obtained) of the candidates in the Written Test & Practical Test for junior Assistant and Written Test, Practical Test & Stenography Test for Stenographer, the Final Marit List will be prepared category wise for the Posts of Junior Assistant and Stenographer (Grade-III) as given below :
